Oviedo is only a few days away!!! I am not sure which is winning the battle of excitement v. nervousness. I anticipate that Spain will be a great experience. I am sure the people are fairly friendly and from my Google earth spying I have gathered that the city is going to be a pleasant one. My host family I am sure will be great... I am putting some faith in the system on that one. I am so so so worried about not being able to communicate very well with my surrounding environment (I don't often dream but I have had several regarding me failing to find the words I need while in Oviedo) The more I practice thinking and speaking in Spanish the more clear it becomes that there is a lot for me to learn, but I hoping that this trial by fire will pay off! I have decided I am going to bring my longboard to Oviedo even though it might be difficult to find a place not full of people in which I can ride. Longboarding is too effective of a stress reliever to leave behind for over a month. I am going to miss friends and family a ton while in Oviedo but we are a tough bunch we will get through it :) I am most excited to finally feel comfortable speaking spanish and of coarse to live in another country for a fairly good chunk of time. These kinds of oportunities don't come along every day. My next post will be in Spanish!
